Dear Ruby, Hey kiddo! How are things at home? Have you started school? I hope you got that “Thinking of you” car I sent. I turned 45 a few days back, I can’t believe how much time I’ve spent away. Fortunately, it’s coming to an end soon.
However, it has really started to get slow closer to these milestones I’m looking forward to. Maybe after the end of September it’ll pick back up. I’ve been getting irritated with such small trivial things lately, I really had to set down and ask God to keep me focused on my attitude and my reactions to other’s stupidity.
Sometimes it is really hard to be humble, intelligence can be a curse sometimes. I have to remember that God has use for everyone’s abilities, we are all the body. The hand can’t say to the eye, “I have no need of you,” nor can the foot tell the arm to “get lost.’ That is a more important lesson than I had once thought. Maybe that can help you as well.
Do you still like to go fishing? I’d really like to take you to do some fun outdoor stuff when I get home. Start thinking of some things you’d like to do!! It might be fall this year or the end of February next year, so plan for either.
Anyway, I love and miss you so much. And remember, God made you special and He loves you very much!
Love always,
Daddy
