Dear Ruby, Hey sweetie!
I hope you are well. I’m not sure if you watch football with your mom, I know she is a big Bears fan. They just got beat in the playoffs by the Rams, it was a very exciting game to watch!
Your birthday is in a week! Do you have any plans? Did I already ask that in a previous letter? Doesn’t matter I guess, since I don’t get responses, lol. You are turning 14! You’ll be going to high school this year. I’m so nervous, I hope you’re focused on school and not boys!
I’m ready to get home, Rube, I have so much I want to start working towards. I’m excited to build a new life, with new people in it. I’m scared, though, I’ve been living in such a controlled environment for so long the adjustment is going to take some getting use to. I been working on planning my time when I’m free, working two jobs for a few years, building my own businesses, being active in a church community, volunteering, and spending time with you and hopefully, Raiden. Maybe somewhere in there I can meet a chick! Lol.
I miss you so much, kiddo. I promise I’ll be home as soon as I can be.
