Dear Ruby, hey sweetie! I hope everything is going well for you. I wonder if you went trick or treating or did you go to a Halloween party. I’m getting really excited, in less than a week the judge will decide what kind of visitation/communication we can have. Can you believe it has been 6 years?!?
I’m nervous you won’t want to see me, but I know that as long as I show you how determined I am to be a part of your life your heart will soften towards me. Part of me thinks there is no way you won’t want to see me and you’ll be as excited as I am, after all we always had a strong bond. To be honest, I’m a little bit nervous to see your mom, guess some things don’t change.
I started my new job as an Educational Aide, otherwise known as a teacher’s assistant. I basically answer questions for the guys (mostly Math,) and do a lot of busy work. It’s nice though, because I get to utilize a skill God has blessed me with. I get to refresh my skills as well. It’s funny how much you forget like slope-intercept form y=MX+b, ugh y is a point on a graph, b is where y hits 0 and M is the slope. Lol. I got to be able to help you with high school Math soon, so I’m trying to prepare for that!!
I signed my application for work release, I’ll hear back in a couple months. If I’m approved, after being there a couple months, I can come home for the weekend. I’m going to see if we can have visits then. Good things are happening, God is working in my life and bringing more positive changes all the time. I can’t wait to start sharing His word with you.
And remember, God made you special and He loves you very much!
Love you always,
Daddy
