Dear Ruby, Hey sweetie!
How has your summer been so far? Hopefully soon you’ll be able to tell me these things in real time. Tonight, I was walking the hall bored and happened to look out the back door window and I saw a bunch of lightening bugs. I was so excited, this is the first time since 2019 that I’ve seen a lightening bug. It reminded me of summer (nor sure why the 85-degree temps today didn’t). Are you too big and cool to catch lightening bugs? Did you and Seth catch them in the summer and put them in peanut butter jars?
I really do feel bad for not being there for you for the last few years. Please understand that it was not by choice. I promise I’ll be here for you always for anything. I hope you’ll be willing to let me be there as your dad again. I miss you soo much.
