Dear Ruby,
Happy Easter! I hope you got the Easter card I sent you. I know it was pretty rainy here but hopefully you got to do some Easter activities, decorate eggs, hide/find eggs, etc. I can’t wait to go to an Easter church service together.
So down here we have a little bit of wild life on the camp. Chipmunks that live in the ground and eat candy and ramen noodles. They also do battle with the birds outside the chow hall for bread and cakes!! Then we also have rabbits. The other day I was looking out the window on the backdoor to our housing unit and there was a tiny little baby bunny rabbit!!! I wanted you to see it so bad!! I thank God for the little things like that, a pretty sky at sunset, a warm sun during patio time, etc. I’ve learned to appreciate a lot more from this season of my life.
So today is so important to our faith! Jesus had told His disciples (followers), that after He died three days later God would bring him back to life. Today is the day He rose from the tomb, and conquered death. Jesus keeps His promises! He promised us that if we believe He is the son of God and died in order for our sins to be forgiven then we will defeat death as well and have eternal life in heaven. We will get to live forever in paradise with Jesus! I think that is something to celebrate.
I miss you terribly, but I know God is working a greater plan for both of our lives. And remember, God made you special and He loves you very much!
