Dear Ruby,
Hey sweetie! Hope everything is going well for you and you had a great summer. I know it should be about over now. Another birthday of mine has came and went, I just pray that by my next one I will have gotten to hear your voice. My mom and uncle Frankie came to see me, that was pretty nice. However, when people come here in order to get anything out of the vending machines you have to put money on a card, they ran out of cards! Lol so no soda’s, ice cream, or snacks, however afterwards I went to “late chow” and got an extra tray!
Last week when we went to commissary all they let us get was 4 blueberry muffins and 4 milkyways! Needless to say I’ve been HUNGRY!!!! This week they have some more stuff though, still out of coffee, soda, tea, and drink mix though. Bummer, but we get what we get and we don’t though a fit. Fortunately, the food here isn’t too bad.
Another week and I should be off orientation status and be either in school or work detail. I requested to be a teacher’s assistant or education coordinator, but I’ll be happy to do whatever they ask of me. I’m just ready to get more good time earned. Currently I’ll be home July 30, 2028. Don’t let that worry you, it’ll start dropping exponentially faster!
In the meantime, I’ll keep working through the courts to be able to see you. I promise you I WILL NEVER GIVE UP! I love you so much and I hope that you’re happy out there, I hope your mom is doing well too.
