Happy Birthday sweetie! I can’t believe you’re 12 today. My little girl is growing up so big and I’ve had to be gone for the last four years. I know that I can’t make up for this time away but when I get home, I promise I’ll never be in a situation like this again and I’ll always be there for you.
Positive news, I got a court date set in the case that will enable us to communicate. Realistically there will probably be a continuance but I’m coming with the intent on hammering out an agreement with your mom. Fingers crossed she is done withholding you to hurt me.
Part of me is scared that you have been “poisoned” against me, but I know that fear is a liar!
I hope that you were given the birthday card I had sent to you.
Well, I hope you do something fun this weekend for your birthday, and I even hope your mom has a happy 40th birthday today too (eww OLD!!!)
