I pray you’re doing well and enjoying the beginning of Fall. I have a TV now, so I’ve been watching a lot of scary movies for the last week! Did you go see the “Five Nights at Freddy’s” movie yet? Yikes!
I’m finally able to tell you about some good news! I had to wait until my trial was done and until I was able to fill out the documents, and have them filed, but that is done now. I’m establishing paternity and parental rights as your father. That is the first step towards seeing you again. I’ve been at the law library every chance I get, working on it. I’m not trying to take anything from your mom, just trying to make it so she can’t prevent me from seeing you. I made sure she had an option to do this on her own, but she obviously doesn’t want to. I’m able to trust God will make this happen because:
- I have a clean heart; I’ve been letting go of all the negative feelings in my heart
- I have a clear mind; I have let all the distractions and discouragement out of the picture
- I have pure motive; my only desire is to be able to be a good father to you
- I have listened to God; I’ve been following Jesus’ teachings and trying to be a good Christian
- I’ve been willing to wait for His timing, I’ve been patient for 4 years as this has progressed, I’ve become a better version of myself and worthy to be back in your life
