Dear Ruby,

Hey sweetheart!  I hope everything is going good for you.  Have you started planning a Halloween costume yet?  I hope it is something really cool!  Maybe someone will send me a picture of you in it.

Things have been getting better here.  Finally got to go to commissary, they were out of about everything:  TV, tablet, hot pot, fans, cups, tank tops, shoes, some foods, lol, a lot of stuff.  But I got some sweats and some snacks.  My roommate is a pretty good cook, made the best food I’ve had in years!

I’ve been going to the gym and the yard whenever I can.  I found out they have music classes here, and a yoga class, even a softball tournament!  They only have 2 games left, so maybe next year I can play.  I’m starting to talk to more people, I wouldn’t call them friends, at least not yet, but its nice to talk to people.

We (my roommate and I) rented a guy’s TV for two days.  My roommate wanted to watch football and I wanted to watch InTouch Ministries w/ Charles Stanley. Since we had it early in the morning, I stopped on Cartoon Network and watched Amazing World of Gumball!  It was so funny, but it made me miss you so much.  Remember when we watched all of them on Netflix in like 2 days, lol?

Ruby, I have it in my heart that God will reunite us withing the next year.  It may be as simple as a phone call or maybe you’ll come visit me, your mom and you are both on my visitor’s list and your mom’s number is approved for me to call.  I can pay for it; I just need your mom to get word to me that it’s okay for me to call and when.  She can tell Frankie, Steve, Megan Sample, Paige, or my mom.  In the book of Joshua, chapter 13 verses 1-4, it explains that when God promises something, His children should respond as if He already done it, because He has!  That being said, I’ll be talking to you soon.

Keep working hard in school and doing the right things.  “Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.”- Matthew 5:44.  I really hope your mom gets you a children’s Bible or a Bible story book.  Maybe I can get you one for Christmas.  Surely Jen will let you have that.

I love you and miss you.  I’ll continue to pray for you and your mom.

Love,

Daddy

P.S.  I got to use real toothpaste and Q-tips for the first time in almost 4 years!  So happy!  God is good!
