Ruby!
Hey pie! I hope everything is going well, you should be done with school this week. I got a picture of you from the yearbook today! You’re so pretty, I can’t believe how grown up you’re getting. Your little smirk of a smile cracks me up, LOL! I’ not sure why your mother has you going to SVMS, the #118 District schools have a 46% of students on track to graduate on time. You should be going to Oakwood, since you have that option. Well, we can worry about that come August.
In about 12 days, I’ll know whether I come home. If so, I’ll have about 24 hours in town before I head to Chattanooga. I was hoping your mother will let me see you before I go, otherwise, I won’t get to until we are done with court. I’ve been thinking about how nice it will be to facetime you at night before you go to bed, and maybe read you a chapter of a book, if not everyday at least a couple of times per week. Big plans, Rube, big plans.
However, if God decides my journey through this legal system isn’t over, I’m going to tell my lawyer to work out a plea within 2 weeks of that day. I’m just over being in the county. It is one of the hardest times you have in the prison system, next to receiving. In receiving, you leave your cell once a week for yard (walking around a cage) and twice for showers, phone comes 2 times a week. It only lasts 12-30 days, though.
Well, I love you and I miss you like crazy. Raiden’s birthday is this weekend!
Love,
Daddy
