Ruby,

Hey pie!  I hope you’re well.  Spring is in full swing and I hope you’re enjoying it…outside enjoying it, not setting inside looing at a screen!  I really miss you so much, and to think I chose to stay in town and not go to Chattanooga because I was worried I wouldn’t see you enough.

I can see the parking lot of the jail from my cell window.  The last few weeks in the morning, there have been school buses from all over the county here.  I see the kids leave; they appear to be about your age. I keep hoping I’ll see you.  I thought you might go to Salt Fork, maybe your mom drove you there, or something, but they were here today so I know you don’t now.  I cried a little bit waiting for the kids to come on T.  I realized how pathetic it is that I’m hoping to see my daughter from 4 floors up and 50 yards away for the first time in three-and-a-half years, and I don’t even know if it is the right school.

“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”  Psalms 30:5

So, I know this is only for a while longer.  Only new info here is that they added coffee to our community list this week!  So, that will be a nice change after all this time.  I go to court tomorrow, just for a continuance though.  Won’t be much longer and I’ll have an out date and I can start earning good time to get home.

Everybody misses you – Grandma Babe.  Her birthday is in 2 days.  Grandpa Frank, he could have used your help putting in the garden!  All your uncles and cousins, they are all getting so big!

I love and miss you most of all!

                                                                                Love,

                                                                                Daddy
